UFC fight night card and latest betting odds

Main event: Dricus du Plessis vs. Usman

Dricus won the middleweight title in 2024 after beating Sean Strickland, then went on to defend it twice against Israel Adesanya and Strickland. At that point, he was undefeated in the UFC, with 9 wins, including finishes against Darren Till, Robert Whittaker and Israel Adesanya. However, he lost the belt to Khamzat Chimaev, getting controlled for 5 rounds. He’ll be keen to fight his way back into title contention, and a win over the former welterweight champion is a great way to do it.

Kamaru Usman was a dominant champion at welterweight, recording an impressive 5 title defences, including wins over Colby Covington. Jorge Masvidal and Gilbert Burns. After losing the belt to Leon Edwards and the subsequent rematch, he moved up to middleweight to face Khamzat. He lost a narrow decision before then beating Joaquin Buckley last year. Since then, he’s been inactive, but returns to take on the former champ. Usman is known for his wrestling, which could give Dricus problems. However, the current betting odds have Usman as the underdog, likely due to his long layoff.

Co-main event: Jared Cannonier vs Christian Leroy Duncan

Cannonier has an 18-8 professional MMA record, with 56% of his wins coming by KO/TKO. In the UFC, he’s now 11-9, and most recently lost against Michael Page last summer. His last 5 fights include 2 wins and 3 losses, but he also beat the current champion Sean Strickland back in 2022. Cannonier’s last win was an impressive stoppage against Gregory Rodrigues, which earned him his 2nd Fight of the Night bonus in a row.

Christian Leroy Duncan has a professional record of 14-2 with 7 wins and 2 losses in the UFC. Like Cannonier, he also has an excellent KO record, with 71% of his UFC wins coming by KO/TKO. In his last fight, he beat Roman Dolidze by decision, but before that, he had back-to-back spinning KOs over Marco Tulio and Eryk Anders. Leroy Duncan is currently ranked 12th in the division and will be facing the number 11-ranked middleweight. A chance to move up the rankings, but Cannonier will be his toughest test yet, as someone who has faced power punchers before.
